Dear Friends,

every event on the sport of body and spirit can only be embraced by local government with sensitivity and expectations. Expectation and high hopes for something important while learning.

So with great pleasure we welcome the International Chess Tournament "Negroponte 2010 to be held in our city reflecting on the sharpening of the mind, cultivating the noble rivalry, the competitiveness, and  the contact of people from different countries and cultures.

Chess Academy Chalkis 'Palamedes Evia' deserves special praise and especially its president George Chun for organizing this tournament in Chalcis.
